Perhaps that is why I feel so good almost every day.

My Personal BABYBOOMER RETIREMENT Book

I am truly amazed at how good I feel almost every day and I’m 50 years old! Remember how you felt about 50 year old people when you were 15? Hmm! Definitely an attitude adjustment is required now. I feel better now that I am 50, than when I was 15. Perhaps it’s becoming wise to my years, or perhaps it’s because I committed myself to an even healthier lifestyle or perhaps it’s because that’s just the way it is at this stage in life.

I have also become aware that numerous people do not pay enough attention to their health and well being. I have a hard time trying to understand how people do not see their health as a number one priority in their lifestyle. Why can’t they see that? I cannot believe how I feel, almost every day, so good! I am so grateful for my good mental and physical health. And I see people in my world and the world, struggling with mental and physical health. I wonder how I got so lucky! I also wonder why other people can’t take the time to take care of themselves too.

I have been in the workforce for 33 years and still going strong every day. I have been blessed with 3 (now adult) children and I am entering into the empty nest stage. I have been preparing for this stage and also planning for it. I want to do something for me, have something of mine.

Learning from the aging process of the elders in my life, at that stage, I can see how those seniors have down-scaled a lot of financial and material goods. To them, less is more. Less means clear thinking. I can understand the whole ‘cleaning up the nest’ syndrome. I’ve thought about that my self and I plan to do the same.

I want to plan ahead for my retirement years, nothing uncommon about that. Right now I am at that ‘too young to retire’ stage and yet too close to that stage to put it off any longer. So at this point between ‘empty nest’ and ‘actual retirement’ I have the opportunity to do that ‘something for me’. So I did!

I took into consideration the 3 most important factors in my life at this time. One, I am at the crossroads of parenting and the empty nest stage which means this is my time to assess my new life. Two, I am in great physical and mental health, which means I am vitalized and very capable of being productive. Three, I am creeping towards the retirement years with time to plan accordingly.

Armed with the factors above and my organizational capabilities, I decided to create a book focused entirely on retiring baby boomers. After all, I will be one. This is the ‘something for me’ project, combined with what I feel should be a priority to every baby boomer. So by creating a book that focuses exclusively on baby boomer lifestyles, perhaps it would make it simpler for baby boomers to pay attention to the important issues in their lives.

With that in mind, I created ‘My Personal BABYBOOMER RETIREMENT Book’! Taking a look at the contents in the book, baby boomers will see that it is packed with practical issues fundamental to our retirement years. It is divided into ten sections focusing on an array of issues detailed for retirement lifestyles. The book may be used as a transitional tool for retiring baby boomers or during the retirement stage.

Topics covered start with family, health, fitness and contact information. A Personal section encourages baby boomers to reflect and/or create a brief bio of your life, realize your lifetime achievements or to record some wisdom of your years. The Personal section also offers pages for favorite pictures to be inserted for easier location of fond memories. Another section, which is quite common for baby boomers, is travel and the travel section is a record-keeping log to assist baby boomers in all travel situations. A most important feature of the book is the personal journaling section. This is where your personal wellness, mind, body and soul may be attended and helpful during the retirement transition.

Lastly, but not least, My Personal BABYBOOMER RETIREMENT Book has the ability to be personalized for the baby boomer’s particular boomer year by using boomer-year stickers as well as handy sections tabs to be inserted on each page of the ten sections creating a personal touch to your book.

So there, I did it! I accomplished what I set out to do. I have created a book that can reach out to every baby boomer and give each and every one of them an opportunity to choose to make a positive change in their own life, not only for themselves but for those loved ones around them. Perhaps that is why I feel so good almost every day. http://www.siscanbooks.com/
